Technical requirements for online processing
To view online orientation, new employees will need access to a computer with the following:
- Internet Explorer 5.5 or greater, Netscape 6.2 or greater, Firefox 1.0 or greater, or Mozilla 1.6 or greater. Browsers should be Java enabled and have Java scripting enabled.
- Printing capabilities
- Adobe Acrobat Reader. (If you do not have the reader, download a free copy of Acrobat Reader now by selecting the button below.)
Important Information for New Employee Processing
All new employees will need the following information to complete their new employee processing on-line:
- Name
- Department/Unit name*
- Employer*
- Address
- Phone numbers
- Social Security number
- UIN*
- Date of birth
- Employee classification (Budgeted, Wage, or Graduate Assistant)
- ADLOC*
- E-Mail address
* You will supply the employee with this information by providing them with the New Employee Worksheet and the page printed from the UIN Manager and/or New Employee Enrollment System
NOTE: All employment forms must be submitted to Human Resources within three (3) working days of the date of hire
For Benefit-eligible faculty & staff:
As soon as possible after an acceptance of employment, send benefits eligible employee the link to the New Employee Benefit Enrollment Booklet, http://tamus.edu/offices/shro/hr/nebook/ag.pdf (or a copy of the booklet). Benefit enrollment must be completed on or before the date of hire if the employee wants coverage to begin on the date of hire.
Campus-based benefit-eligible employees may attend a benefits Q&A which will allow them to ask questions or obtain assistance in completing the required documents if unable to complete the benefit enrollment on-line.
