Supplements System Policy 02.04 and System Regulation 02.04.10
1. The Extension Service administers the Texas Wildlife Damage Management Service (TWDMS). This authorization is contained in Chapter 825, Texas Health and Safety Code.
2. The TWDMS provides statewide leadership in the science, education and practice of wildlife management to protect the state's agricultural, industrial and natural resources, as well as the public's health, safety and property.
3. In cooperation with federal, state, and private entities, the TWDMS serves both rural and urban areas, utilizing technical assistance and direct control services in wildlife damage management.
4. The directors and administrative officer of the TWDMS are officials of the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, United States Department of Agriculture.
