21.99.99.X1.03 VEHICLE INSCRIPTIONS

Chapter 721 of the Texas Transportation Code requires state-owned vehicles to be inscribed with the word "Texas" followed by the name of the agency or department.

2.01 Decals with the inscription "Texas AgriLife Extension Service" followed by "Texas A&M University System" will be placed on all cars and trucks owned by the Texas AgriLife Extension Service. Additional decals may be placed on other vehicles or elsewhere on the vehicle if desired.

2.02 In addition to the required inscription, a unit may inscribe its name provided that:

A. The letters inscribed are black and do not exceed the other decal letters in height (Use white letters if the vehicle is black).

B. The letters are placed in a neat, professional manner below the decal.

2.03 The administrative head or the designated person will:

A. Obtain the decals from the Texas A&M AgriLife Fleet and Propertyl Office.

B. Place decals on each of the front doors of cars and trucks.

C. Replace the decals when needed to ensure readability.

D. Remove the decals and any additional letters/inscriptions at the time of disposal.
